ABC is offering an optional audit program designed specifically for daily and weekly newspapers with total average circulation of less than 30,000, the Canadian Audit Program 30, or CAP30. This is a streamlined, cost-effective audit service that requires less publisher preparation and involvement.
Audit Pricing
CAP30 provides a guaranteed flat annual rate and flexible billing options that can be paid monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually.
You can also add other a la carte offerings like an FDSA Audit Accreditation, Consolidated Media Report, and audits of nonpaid niche products.

About the Audit and ABC Reports
Any paid Canadian newspaper that has total average circulation less than 30,000 is eligible to participate in CAP30.
Audits are conducted every-other-year via ABC’s Audit Fast Track program, ensuring a less intrusive, more simplified audit. Participants of CAP30 will also use revised audit survey forms and reduced audit procedures.
The CAP30 Publisher’s Statement has been streamlined and now features:
- Simplified basic price reporting
- Simplified explanatory reporting
- No price point breakout
- No premium reporting
- No day-of-week reporting
- No geographic market reporting
