FDSA Audit Accreditation
ABC audits flyer distribution to the industry standards set by the Flyer Distribution Standards Association (FDSA). These standards were put into practice in early 2011 after nearly two years of collaboration between ABC, the Canadian Circulations Audit Board (CCAB) and FDSA to revise the standards to reflect the current Canadian marketplace.
Flyer distribution audits are important to both buyers and sellers. A flyer distribution audit from ABC gives retail advertisers the assurance that their flyers are properly handled and distributed. Distributors that participate in the program demonstrate their commitment to transparency and accountability, and can market their flyer distribution programs with the “FDSA Accredited” stamp of approval.
Audit Overview
The FDSA Audit Accreditation service was designed to meet the unique needs of Canada’s flyer distribution market. The audit evaluates the flyer insert process for compliance with FDSA’s standards.
The audit verifies criteria listed in six steps:
- Receiving Product
- Packaging
- Truck Load
- Delivery
- Verification
- Non-Delivery Resolution
